All of these products are delivered by road tanker and pumped into a static tank permanently situated at the user's site. Generally, this tank and its associated equipment (e.g. vaporisers to convert the bulk liquid into gas or a telemetry contents system etc.) are rented under contract from Air Liquide UK . Bulk tanks normally vary from about 5 to 50 tonnes capacity, but larger tanks can be produced for specific purposes. Most road tankers hold about 20 tonnes of product, and all have on-board pumps and flowmeters to transfer and measure the amount of gas delivered. We can fit a telemetry system to automatically monitor the amount of gas in the tank and schedule deliveries to relieve you of the burden of stock management.

All bulk liquid gas tanks are pressurised, but the actual pressure varies according to the product and its application. Bulk gas installations are covered by the Pressure Systems Regulations. If the tank is rented from Air Liquide UK we take care of all the necessary maintenance, inspections, certification and record keeping in accordance with Written Schemes of Examination.
